And now you know – inside a Hercules

If you have ever wondered what it looks like to fly in a Royal Canadian Air Force CC-130 Hercules en route to Thule Greenland, well, now you know.

Between take off and landing, there’s a lot of room to move around and find a place to stretch out, relax, or grab a nap -  as long as you don’t mind using a shipping container for a chair, sofa, or bunk.

Looking aft toward the ramp, you can see a some of the cold weather insulation that is added to the air plane for cold weather operations – it’s needed as Thule and Alert are cold.
