A Quinte West moment

The trail leading past the Quinte West fire training facility and the water plant is one of my favourite places to escape the concrete and pavement that goes hand in hand with urban life.

I suppose that’s a bit ironic as the area I like so much has a lot of brick, concrete and steel structures. The water plant inlet station, the Lock 1 Control Dam, and the Canadian National train bridge over the Trent.

The view upstream was so pretty that I shot a few pictures of the bridge.

There’s also a bit of history here – a history that I have not been able to find much information about. All I really know is that this old mill is on Park Canada land.
