Something fishy on the Trent

For some reason people like to fish from the top of dams, while standing outside the safety rails on dams, and directly downstream of dams. It’s not something I would do as I know how dangerous dams can be, and how quickly the water can turn a pleasant day into a rapid death. This particular dam, Control Dam 1 on the Trent River, has claimed the lives of people, including 2 this year.

The fisherman below was well downstream of the dam when he caught this salmon – he was, however, being careful as he waded through the water as this section of the Trent is fast flowing, turbulent, and has some pretty weird currents.
