A walk at the lock

A beautiful day saw me walking around at Glen Miller – that’s Lock 3 on the Trent Severn Waterway. Besides the colours of the fall, the sky was vibrant, with a mix of blue and gray that made a perfect background for these pictures.

Clear blue skies are nice, but they are boring backgrounds – sure, they are what we often call ‘picture perfect’ but I’d rather have something that is imperfect and real.

Someday I might be able to head outdoors just for the sake of heading outdoors, but for now, photography plays a huge role in my life and is always on my mind. I need to work on that, but heck, cameras are sort of like umbrellas…
