An overcast day, falling snow, low light and fast paced action – this is pretty much the ultimate combination that makes photography very difficult – especially when you are hand holding your camera, shooting at long focal lengths and are thinking how nice it would be to sit by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate.
Just to make things even worse, we’ll add in the bright lights that make night skiing possible, and the need to stay out of the way of the people who are skiing and boarding.
This is the type of photography that I like – I have to think and make the best out of the situation. Studio photography would drive me nuts in a matter of minutes…
