A winter wonderland

A pretty scene with pristine snow, clear skies and a beautiful river. At the same time, it’s a recipe for disaster as clear skies and snow usually equate to cold weather which can easily lead to hypothermia or frostbite.

The river has pushed huge blocks of ice up onto the banks, and had recently flooded this area due to ice jams – pretty, yes, but you have to respect the power of nature.
