GoPro mount adaptation

I have a fairly large box full of mounts for my GoPro cameras – suction cup, surfboard, helmet, night vision, bike and roll bar mounts, and a bunch of those sitck’m anywhere mounts. I even have a mount that lets me mount a GoPro on a tripod.

I also have a fairly large box full of compact digital cameras that come in handy when I don’t want to lug a large Nikon around with me. What I don’t have though, is a way to mount the compact cameras using GoPro mounts.

That’s a shame as there are times when it would be handy to mount a little camera such as this Sony DSC-H55on things, like the dashboard of the jeep or at a party so I can be in the video as well.

Then I had an inspiration, right around the time when I purchased a pack of adhesive mounted tripod thread mounts that I was going to stick on the dashboard of the jeep.GoPro,photography, tripod mount

I figured out that I could use some two part epoxy glue to attach the base of the tripod mounts to a GoPro 90° adapter

Brilliant – now I can use the full range of GoPro mounts to attach a compact digital camera wherever I want.
