Bullfrog Power partnered with the Towns of Antigonish, Berwick, and Mahone Bay, as well as energy developer Minas Energy, to launch the first independent wind farm in Nova Scotia – a four-turbine project.
In 2017, Ellershouse Wind Farm added three new turbines to the existing project, bringing the total to seven Enercon E-92 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 16.1 megawatts.
The project is the first wind development in Nova Scotia to be funded and built independently of the local power authority or any provincial government incentive program.
