Nova Scotia Highway 101
The 11-kilometre concrete section of Highway 101 between Mount Uniacke and Ellershouse is one of the three concrete roads in Nova Scotia. St. Lawrence Cement was awarded a $5.9 million contract to pave the concrete section in April 2003.
Concrete roads are rare in Nova Scotia – the other two concrete roads in Nova Scotia are near Oxford on Highway 104 and on the Bridgetown interchange off Highway 101.
